Morning,

So wanted to share something I just had a revelation on. I believe google maps may have just helped me calibrate my monitor better than any image/instructions ever before. So I was using google maps and noticed all the minor roads were SOOOOO pale you could barely make them out against the colour of the background. I googled as I thought it was an issue and saw a post saying drop your contrast and up brightness a touch, amazing the difference it makes, even the OCUK forums look completely new. I can now see ALL roads on google maps, it's fantastic. Hope this may be helpful to at least one person since it seems many experience the issue I was having or maybe I was just being an idiot with my monitor settings.

Were you running out of the box settings? They usually have the brightness whacked up to 100.

Which monitor have you got?

It's an old Dell E248WFP I think it is, I just had a fiddle with settings to get it so it looked nice based on some googling of setups for this screen. Obviously it'd thrown it more out of whack than done good?
