Google Maps for ipad - street view broken?

Is street view meant to work within google maps on the ipad? Bringing up a location appears to show a street view window on the left side but clicking it does nothing??
Working as intended or is mine buggy?
 
I've had the same issue recently on both iPad and iPhone I think. Seems to be working fine for me now on both. As you said, you could see the street view image but there was no recognition of selecting it.

Same here, been like that for a while but yesterday it just wouldn't work at all. On a 4g iPad...I read it could be to do with connection quality...need to try test it at home with WiFi
 
yeah - I tried with wifi at home and no difference...I said wasn't 'working at all' but trying earlier if you dropped a pin in the 'right' place then street view would start working then you could use as normal

have an ipad air2 with 15.4.1 and the 4g ipad (8th gen) with 14.7.1 software, both do the same thing, tried restarting, delete/reinstall google maps/switching location on/off on both but can't see any pattern on what's happening

annoying...use the 4g ipad as a sat nav for work for the past 10 months, apart from google maps going down 1-2 months ago (now have offline maps downloaded) it's been flawless

through safari as mentioned above seems to be the workaround for now...maybe even a better solution if you have a route planned in the app with stops/waypoints but want to look at some streetview images
