Google maps iPhone alternative?

Can't believe they removed the native app, the new one is pants.

Are there any alternatives? I have tried google maps website but its just a list of directions and not a GPS navigation as such.

Or do you mean GPS nav like the android google maps ? In which case the iPhone app never had it and there a fair few 'proper' (no web needed) sat nav apps available
 
Checked out that link and it looks pretty good. Based on that I'll give my phone the ol' upgrade now =]

In terms of an actual Sat Nav app, one called GPS Navigation by Skobbler is a good choice. It's free and the search function seems to work better than Navfree in my experience.
 
If you click the featured tab on the app store app you will see apple have done all the hard work for you and have listed alternatives.
 
You can try the google map web app (just goto google maps through safari). Obviously not as good as the app but its not bad.
