Google maps really slowww -.-

Google maps had just decided to say 'loading' everytime I try to zoom in or out it just does nothing, this has only just started happening today. I have the latest updates, I'm running Firefox 3.6.2, I tried the troubleshooting guide, I disabled all addons/extensions etc etc, I also tried on the latest IE, chrome, opera and safari and still the same problem, nothing has changed with my system hardware/software since I last tried it which was a day or two ago

The basic html works but I don't want to be using the basic version, can anyone confirm they have the problem or is it just me?

IE here, slow running/not responding.

I imagine it is a problem at their end.

Yep. I've had this problem as well since this morning.

It's not responding at all. Just says "Still loading... Slow? Use the troubleshooting guide or basic HTML.".

I'm on Virgin 20Mb and tried both IE8 and FF3.6.3.

Give Bing maps a go in the mean time if you're in a hurry

maps.bing.com - for the standard version
maps.bing.com/explore for the Silverlight enhanced version with Map Apps.

It's actually quite good although still seems to be missing the quantity of 3rd party overlays Google Maps has.

Google appears to have dropped the ball somewhere and http://maps.gstatic.com/intl/en_uk/mapfiles/221a/maps2/main.js is missing

it's disappeared around 11am this morning, no-one as yet knows why.

Yeah it is working now, that's a relief just thought it was me for some reason, cheers guys
