Google Maps vs. Apple Maps

Yea, when it was replaced I was annoyed enough I just deleted it and never bothered with go.

I wish Waze had the drop pin feature as I’d use it all the time then. Until then I’ll stick with google maps

I’ve been using Waze since 2015. It’s never let me down with finding alternative routes to avoid traffic jams or accidents. And I like how you can report live incidents/police vans/potholes etc.

Admittedly it was before 2015 when I tried Google maps and Apple Maps. So they could be much improved now but Waze has always been great for me personally.

I did have Google maps fail to spot a couple of road closures the other day - but they were on tiny country lanes, so I can't be entirely surprised.

I switched to an iPhone just three years ago after using Android for a long time. While the iPhone suits me perfectly in most ways, I have to say the maps are really disappointing

Same here but that is primarily because I use Google Workspace.

I've found google maps has been better for me with road closures and re-routing

To me, an Apple fan, Google maps wins out because of the far greater knowledge of business etc, especially in smaller villages.
The difference in road knowledge here is interesting.
