google marker not transparent?

hey guys,

anyone seen this before? the google marker on a custom map i've made has started being not transparent :confused:

- it used to work fine...

any ideas?

EDIT: bit more info: it used to be a custom one, which worked fine, then the background went non-transparent so i reverted to a standard one, and now this is what shows up (above) - strange...

PNG Transparency/Browser issue? As a guess...

looks the same in other browsers and other google maps look fine...

this has me proper stumped...

I don't use google maps, so sorry i can't help any more...

Does it happen on another PC?

If you've got a link to the page I'll have a look, or if you can post the javascript that makes the map and markers, that'd be fine

i've cracked it... it was a css issue - basically the markers are overlayed as a separate img and if any css is being inherited which adds a background colour then that is where the problem lies

- hope this helps if someone else gets tripped up
