Google Music

Anyone bought albums that haven't appeared in your catalogue? 2 of mine haven't appeared and I reported them to Google over a week ago and have heard nothing back. No apology, no refund, nothing. Customer service appears to be very low of their list and it's left a very bitter taste in the mouth.
Sent another email to Google today asking for a refund and finally got one of the albums I had paid for - Onyx: Shut 'Em Down. Unfortunately it's missing a track and Google have now removed the album from their library, along with my review, as well as my order history so I can't report a problem with it

Is there any way of editing the metadata and album covers of things that have already been uploaded that isn't browser based?

I'm finding making changes can be hit and miss, an half the time album covers don't upload. :(

You can edit the album art. On the edit info page, after you've clicked change on the album art and chosen the file. DO NOT press save until the thumbnail image changes to the one you've uploaded. If you press save before it's changed it seems to revert back to the original.

Thanks, I'll try this, so far it's been hit and miss so with any luck it should work now. I was pressing save too early by the sounds of it.

As for hapless playback, I tend to merge mixes to a single track before uploading

What happens? Does it physically upload the track and store it on Google?

Has anyone ever had any tracks confused?

The example at the back of my mind is the Oasis Time Flies album. On Google play they only have the first 2 CDs I think. I have all three which I bought from iTunes. The last CD is basically the live recordings...I am worried that Google will try and match these are the non live versions or something like that.

Anyone know how/whether it's possible to upload music directly from an Android phone? I've got a load of music I bought from 7Digital, and don't really fancy having to drag it all across to my PC to be uploaded.

Is it normal to have google play music still running in active applications even after closing the app and also restarting itself after force closing on GS2, running the latest version?

I sometimes get google music randomly play the odd track at a terrible bit rate. I have the quality set to high in the settings.

I skip the song and it's back to normal on the next track. if I go back to it the quality is still poor.

It's kind of annoying if it's a track I really want to listen to!

Has anyone else experienced this?

I've not noticed it on mine, but if it's still bad quality when you go back to it clear the cache as it'll just be playing the bad version it's got stored.

if i delete some tunes from my computer and then add new ones, will they upload to google play music - have hit the 20k limit but there's some stuff I would prefer to upload rather than some of the stuff I barely listen to...

No need to delete them from your computer... you delete music from inside the Google Music web app itself. Hit the 3 dots at the top right of any album and hit delete, Music will remember you deleted that album and it won't be re-uploaded giving you space back to add more music.
