Google Music

Anyone? The only device I've currently got in my setting is my laptop.

The phone should authorise automatically when the app on the phone tries to access Google Music, that is what has always happened to me.

Ah yeah, I swear I clicked on that before on my phone and it did nothing, probably mis-pressed, then I forgot about it :p.

Installing and using the app is the only authorising I've done too. You could try clearing app data and it'll ask you to choose an account again?

15 hours later....8k of 13k done.:(
Hopefully it'll be done by midday tomorrow and then i can remote shutdown my PC. lol.:p

I've been having some issues with Google Music, which I'll list here. First up, I've been using it since it first started as a beta in the US, despite being in the UK (used a VPN). Been very happy with it, and was excited about the UK launch. It's been a pain in the arse.
So, issues;
1. Songs in the "Google Play recommends" list are priced in $, and clicking the price takes me to the US store, where I am not able to buy songs. I have to manually find my way to the UK page for that song to buy it. This sucks.
2. The matching service does not seem to be working at all.
3. I deleted all the songs on my account (Cog > Music settings > DELETE MUSIC) to see if that would "refresh" my account (i.e. Make it think it was a new and shiny UK-based account, which it doesn't.) I made sure they were deleted from "Music trash". However, during the upload process often I'll see tracks appearing in the Google Play recommends list or on the Home screen that I'd previously deleted. They aren't playable, I get a server error, but it does list them. Very strange.

And possible solutions I've tried;
1a. Contacting Google Play both by email and by phone to ask them to re-initialise or completely delete my account. I have had no reply to the email yet (which I sent at 19:03 GMT). The representative on the phone claimed that they were not able to delete the account. I will phone them back tomorrow and insist someone more technical is made available - I highly doubt it's impossible for them to remove Google Music as a service.
2a. Uninstalling and reinstalling Music Manager.
2b. Uploading from a different computer to the same account
2c. Uploading from the same computer to a different account.
2d. Uploading from a different computer to a different account.

No solutions have worked for any of the problems.

Currently a very troubled service, at least for those of use who circumvented the geographic limitations before the Europe launch.

I've averaged about 1000 songs an hour so far.

Thats probably the match service unless you have a very fast upload.

I emailed Google about the prices being $, said i was visiting the U.S when i signed up, will see what they say.

I closed the music manager while I was gaming and I resumed it about an hour ago and it's going horribly slow. Barely a song a minute. Will leave my pc on and see how far it gets by morning, on 1970 now..

Try going here - https://www.google.com/settings/language?hl=en

You need to be logged into your Google account. This takes you to the languages page for your entire Google account. Change the Primary Language to "English United Kingdom" and delete the other languages (usually English US)

Not sure if this will work but I signed up using a proxy when GMusic first launched and all my prices are in £. I set my language to UK English about 3 months ago.

Right, so my phone is now showing as an Authorised device.

Now, should stuff automatically start appearing in Google play recommends automatically or do I have to get something from the store to kick that part into motion? Because as it stands, I have 35 albums loaded up, but nothing else recommended to me.....
