I think I will bypass the 6 and go for the 5, then get the new tablet when they release one.

Are Nexus 5 still available on contract? are they going to stop selling them on contract at any point? lot of places saying no tarrif, and look like buying the handset outright is only available

Thanks for the link. No real surprises with the reviewers first impressions. He promises to give a fuller review after a few days of use.

The more I use my nexus 5 the more I think about what google said with actual phone usage being low compared to using the phone for its smart features. Phone calls possibly equal 0.1% of the time I use my phone for. I'm forever picking up my nexus to do something with it, like typing this forum post!

I don't plan on getting the Nexus 6 but I'm starting to get a bit itchy. The 6 is clearly a thought out phone.

Hmm going to new york in a few weeks, as i'm on vodafone i presume from this i'll have no issues with it working here if i bring one back with me!

The US phone supports different bands to the internation version, mainly less GSM bands and has CDMA. You would have the 2G bands, but for vodafone you would be missing one of the two 3G bands and same for 4G so you wouldn't get the same signal strength or in some locations no signal at all.

I think Samsung might squeeze it out before the end of the year, they actual have working beta's, also Google won't be making change to the Hardware Abstraction layer so updates should be a lot less work.

Squeeze they might, however it'll still look dreadful as you know.

Samsung really need to rethink their skin. Puts me off their phones.

Indeed, I think the recent hit to their wallet is going to make some changes, the A series of phone actual look nice and are pretty interesting.

Stupid game to play when most other OEMs can get their devices out in a decent time frame with more then 10 devices.
