Google not showing results in IE9

On my wifes pc when putting into Google something to search for through IE9 all it come up with is the search box with above it "searches relating to" and similar topics to what I have just tried to search for, but not the stream of search results that I normally get below the search box
When using firefox the Google search results come up as normal
any ideas

Turned off google instant and its back to normal now
