Can a mod do a poll please?

Looking to start using phone to pay so i would like some help and advice.

Do you use
Google Pay
or
Samsung Pay
What are pros and cons of both?
Thank you

Samsung you have less banks signed up . For me its fine as I have Starling , Nationwide and Santander which are on the list . I also have Samsung Gear Watch so this is reason I chose Samsung pay over Google pay
I had used Google previously and little difference in general use

I've used Google pay (NatWest) for a few years and never had an issue. Can't really see why I'd want to use Samsung pay even if I had a Samsung phone.

Samsung Pay only makes sense if you're in the USA where you can use MST. IN Europe Google Pay is better supported by banks, and now with dark mode theme, Google Pay is more polished, too.

I prefer samsung pay.

I like how you have to provide finger print for the dedicated payment method before you can use the card as opposed to google pay where it is active at all times when the phone is unlocked.

Google pay uses NFC

Samsung pay uses a way that makes the card machine think it's being swiped

It's the whole reason why I prefer Google Pay over Samsung Pay. That extra touch for confirmation is too much.

Went to sign up for Samsung Pay yesterday on a new Note 10 and it made me so frustrated, I deleted it. (App crashing, kept saying card details invalid when they weren't)

I use Google Pay now and it's been reasonably straightforward.

Google Pay,

no idea on the differences between any of them but I just added my card to the app and tap my phone when I need to pay for stuff. It works and I dont need anymore than than that.

Google Pay, never had any issues ,didn't switch to Samsung Pay when I moved to the s10e either as I don't see the benefit.

Samsung pay need to support more banks IMHO
