Google Pixel 7/7 Pro & Pixel Watch

No way id pay more than 150 for one but that's just me.
Yup figured, max I'd hope to get if I go for this offer.

Also letting student 10% discount get applied to this, Google seem to be pulling all the stops to shift these.

How does the Google One 10% back offer work if I already prepaid for a year?

I wasn't too aware of the 7 but just saw the pictures of the Hazel with gold trim (with matching watch). I'm only a few months into owning an s22 ultra but I'm getting the itch...

I wasn't going to upgrade but...

1. I always regretted buying the 6 instead of the 6 Pro.

2. I really dislike the 6's fingerprint sensor and lack of face unlock.

3. I was waiting to see the Pixel Watch before buying either that or the Galaxy Watch 5.

4. The 7 Pro is £764.10 with a Pixel Watch LTE included, plus (hopefully) £270 back from trading in my Pixel 6, plus £76.40 back in Google One credit and maybe £38.20 Topcashback. So not far off a free upgrade if we pretend the freebies are worth their full value.

Seriously considering it now. Speaks volumes that the "reasons to upgrade" list basically amounts to "it's cheap" and "hopefully they fixed the flaws of the previous models" though.

I'm in dire straights. I want the watch but don't need a phone but I've nearly justified buying the phone too because "it's only £470 on top of the watch for a new phone". Seems bizarre to me that my HTC U11 isn't on the trade list but the One M8 is.

People doing the unidays 10% off, are you actually students or have you found a way to get a code?

I currently have a Pixel 3 and have been waiting for the last year to upgrade.

Nothing really wrong with my Pixel 3. It still does everything I need it to do but the fact it does not get any more Android version bothers me.

My options are the Pixel 6a or the Pixel 7.

6a is £350
7 is £599

If Google released both the regular and the a versions at the same time it would be an easy choice for me and I would get a 7a as its the cheaper device and I do not need a premium handset. However I get the gist that the 6a will have 1 year less software support than the 7 by virtue of one month!

Also the Pixel Buds free gift I can probably sell on for a bit of a saving.

The only thing that turns me off the 7 is the size, but I suppose its not that much bigger than the Pixel 3.

My Pixel 3 is 145.6 x 68.2 x 7.9 mm whilst the 7 is 155.6 x 73.2 x 8.7 mm

---

On a different note, with the trade in I can get £100 for the Pixel 3. However I was thinking of passing it on to my dad.

Are there any better phones out there which you can buy for £100? Something with software support at least?

Ordered the black matching 7 pro with lte watch, used a 10% work code, one update subscription trick and trading in my 6pro.

Hoping this phone doesn't give me the overheating troubles I've had this last year.

Is there google one upgrade discount as well??

Am tempted to swap my 6 and get the watch..
Not sure if for 7 or 7pro yet.. when on the bike 6 feels too big to grab out of the pocket and take photo while cycling...

And if watch is a failure no one will use those...

Suppose few days left on that deal to make up minds..

How are you getting the 7 pro at £764?

Feels a little sneaky, but I'm curious about this too.

Trade in on my P6 was only £270, but £210 for the P5 doesn't sound too bad and tempts me a little. If there was 10% on top (and I assume 10% store credit for One subscriber is applicable too) then I'd be really tempted! It's almost annoying I just bought the Pixel Buds Pro (even at a very good price). Mind you, I kinda tempted to go the Pro and try the watch too.

Someone on HUKD said you can sign up here with random details and get a code.

I've gone for the black pixel 7.. I am coming from the S10 and think the size is about right.

10% Google One Store Credit, 10% Student Bean, 5% Topcashback, £180 refund for my 4 1/2 year old S10.. So the phone is costing me less than £300, and that includes the free Pixel buds.
