Can someone please instruct me how to add the Google play music widget to the lock screen on my Moto G?

I know how to add widgets to the lock screen, I just don't know how to add the Play Music widget as it's not showing. That's what I need advice on.

There isn't a widget as such, but controls appear when you're using it.

I'm after a persistent widget so that I don't have to unlock the device just to start some music playing. Do you know if there's a way to get a flashlight on the lock screen?

You might have to consider a 3rd party locker like WidgetLocker, or a widget that's compatible with Google Music.
