Just noticed tonight that the initial Google search page text is a lot larger than normal.

Is this something I have done wrong, or is it something Google are working on?

I can confirm it's gone huge for me too.

This is ridiculous, it looks crap, babyish and wrong with such a huge font.

What's happening with Google these days?

from the link above said:
“The new, larger Google search box features larger text when you type so you can see your query more clearly. It also uses a larger text size for the suggestions below the search box, making it easier to select one of the possible refinements.”

What the **** google?

I'm finding it harder to read!

I have to scan my eyes all across the damn screen now.

In the Google HQ they have a scrolling screen of live queries...if I type "this is massive" enough times...it will get seen! Because it's massive :(

LOL, I thought the text size had changed too when I fired up my PC this morning, thought I had managed to do it myself with the CTRL key and the mouse scroll wheel.

Glad to see I'm not just seeing things!!

Oh and yeah, I'm not keen on the new size either. :p

Phew! I thought I had done something stupid!

What is the point of this huge text? I didn't find it at all difficult to read before. Wonder if they could put an option to disable it?

l just thought my eyes had improved. (I was bitten by a black and purple spider yesterday :D )

haha how is bigger writing harder to read? :D

Because on a smaller screen (such as a laptop), you can no longer see the entire search string without having to move your field of view.

I used to be able to "see" what I was typing, and what the suggestions were, now I have to visually "read" the screen, a physical movement of the eyes or head from left to right.
