Google Talk name

Is there any way you can customise the google talk name that appears to others? Mine is np50 and that is hardly very readable!

It's your name in your google email account settings.

Do you mean if my name was [email protected], my Talk name would be jonsmith? Or is it only the gmail name?

No. In your google settings (www.gmail.com) you can change your First and Last name. It's the details there.
