Found this so far

Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - Retail £185.99
HIS ATI Radeon HD 5830 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £119.99
Asus P8P67 LE Intel P67 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard - (Sandybridge) £111.98
Corsair XMS3 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Triple Channel (CMX6GX3M3A1600C9) £53.99
OCZ StealthXStream 2 600W Power Supply £47.99
Antec 100 One Hundred Ultimate Gaming Case - Black £43.99
Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM (ST3500418AS) £27.98

The radeon 5830 is a bad card for the money. A 460 768mb is faster Link and it runs hot.

Also you don't want triple channel memory i.e. 6GB. You want 4 or 8GB kits because SB is dual channel only.

Didn't pick up on the memory lol, so you recommend a 460? or is there any other cards better or equal?

I really just want the perfect build for the price.....

The 460 is a great bang for buck card if you overclock it, they OC very well. The MSI twin frozR is also a good card. Those are the ones I would be considering if I were you.

I really can't decide whether or not to fork out extra myself for the Sandy Bridge option.

Me personally, I can't get that extra £100 so will probably go to Phenom II route.

I think you also have to take into account what type of games you'll be playing, whether they're cpu or gpu demanding.

plus whatever hdd ypu want. don't know how much storage you need?

I like this build too apart from the PSU which I personally would not trust. I would leave out the elite case/psu combo and get:
Antec 100 One Hundred Ultimate Gaming Case - Black - £43.99 and
BeQuiet Pure Power L7 530W Power Supply [BN106] - £42.98 inc VAT

The new grand total would be £469.52 so still within budget.

plus a hdd!
then add a cooler like the freezer 7 pro and start overclocking.

should come to about £500

obviously SandyBridge is better, but you won't find the phenom wanting for a good while yet!

quite a few people have been recommending that case/psu combo. they are fine for that set up. Will handle most single GPU's

i would go with this RAM: OCZ Platinum 4GB (2x2GB) for £34.99
if you are going for the sandybridge route, because it works on much lower voltages. not 100% sure if the other one is low enough.
however, if your going down the AMD route, then it doesnt matter.

do you specifically want that piano case you mentioned, or could you give us a budget and some ideas for the case at overclockers too?

I have i5 2500k/Asus P8P67/4Gb Geil Ram/GTX 460 768MB which is simliar to what people have posted, I personally recommend this combo as it plays everything I throw at it on a 24" 1920 x 1080 HD screen with the maximum settings the game allows. It will definitely last you a few years, I think it's worth paying the extra for Sandybridge rather then go the AMD route.
