My mother kindly bought me a 5 hour course at http://www.newlyns-farmshop.co.uk/cookery/ for Christmas. The voucher lasts all year so I am in no rush, but they do seem to get booked up quite quickly. Question is, which course to try?

I am thinking Gastro or Taste of Italy? They do Thai and Indian courses, but I am thinking that there is too much to learn in 5 hours with those types of food, though learning some Indian cooking with Mehernosh Mody from La Porte des Indes does sound great! I am very excited. :D

I really enjoyed it. I was by far the youngest there as it was full of very well off older chaps, with a couple of posh yummy mummy's. Had a really good time and learned a lot. I cooked -

Bouillabaisse Soup
Poule Pot with Aioli
Toulouse Saucisson with puy lentils
Apple Tarte Tatin with ginger Creme Anglais

I still have most of it in my fridge apart from the poulet pot, which we ate for lunch on the course with some nice wine.

I can really recommend it am am thinking about going back for the Italian now.
