Loreal cos you're worth it :p :D

Congrats on the new lens. bit disappointed it wasn't the canon f2.8 II though ;)

£400, you jammy git, from the bay of e?

From TP.

The story is that i need one for a musical shoot in a couple of weeks, was going to hire a Canon Variant (would have come to £80 after postage) but saw this came up, what swayed it for me is that the guy who sold it just had it from Sigma calibrated, so I know it is sharp. It is MINT in both glass and body, includes all the paperwork.

No brainer, now I have 16-200mm covered, all under F/2.8 in zooms too !

Just snapped up a sigma 70-200 f/2.8, you say?

Picked this APO HSM mk1 up off TP the other day. Just had a few test shots with it so far but i'm in love already. :D Hoping to use it for shooting uni sports.

Saw you bidding on that lens in TP mate, looks like it's a cracker.

It is a nice lens, unfortunately not a lens I use much in the stuff i shoot nor really love using. It is heavy, takes up 2 lenses space in my bag. I love my primes and if i can get away shooting primes i would.

However, 70-200 is useful lens to have in a kit. I wanted the Canon 2.8 Is mkii really but that is a big chunk of money on glass that i don't use much (same reason why i don't have a fisheye). So the sigma makes a lot more sense to me. I was going to get a 70-200 eventually anyway but not before a 85/1.2 or a T/S lens, then I came across this so i thought i might as well. Now i can put off the Canon even further :)

I recently sold my sigma 70-200, found it to be heavy and getting less used. I got the 135L instead which i really do like.

I think the main thing that used to annoy me was the lack of a focus limiter. Its not the fastest focusing lens in the world to start off with and if you are tracking something and lose the focus it can get annoying.

However having said that i found the lens very sharp and optically definatley no slouch. Eventually i will be going for a 70-200 f/2.8 IS either MkI or MkII

I will get the Canon 2.8 IS one day, one day. At the moment, it is not worth investing that kind of money on one for me, i rather get a 85/1.2 or a 45 T/S instead.

I can live with having a £400 piece of glass thst I use now and again, i cant live with it being £1600.

The 135L is in a different league though.

I like my siggy 70-200 f2.8, it's not heavy at all in the grand zoom scheme of all things f2.8. If you wanted a prime at this length you should have gone for the 200mm f2 ya cheap skate ;) I find the focus fast enough for Rugby, I tried the Canon non IS and just couldn't justify the extra money for my needs. I'd love the mkII one day though....

Lol, those are what they are "test" shots, not artistic ones. More to show it works, not asking for critique, besides, the test shots are well exposed :p

Proper stuff will come. :)
