Got a 9800 GX2 today but feeling blue...

My new toy arrived today however my current Corsair 620 PSU has no 8pin connector. I don't have the receipt to send Corsair an email for the new cable and you cant buy those cables for love nor money. Feeling gutted does any one have any suggestions other than to buy a new PSU?

Contact the place you got the card from, they should send one out to you.

Hello GM@N, you can email Corsair and they will happily send out the necessary cables to you so you can connect your power supply unit to an Nvidia 9800 GX2 graphics card. More information about this can be found here.

Hi, do you already have a 6 pin cable? as i have a spare 8 pin cable that you can have if you cover postage.

Or just do what i did and email corsair and they sent me two 6+8 pin cables

I just emailed Corsair and they sent me one in the post. Never asked for the receipt.

I got a confirmation email that mine had been sent within 2 days of contacting them after emailing them but i had my receipt, i suppose you could chance it and explain.

I just bought a Corsair 620 PSU & a BFG GX2 , I found a weird 6+2 8 pin connector
provided in the BFG box so I got it up & running, they had included instructions on how to trim the plug to get it in the socket as all GX2's have a slight socket alignment problem, must be fixed by now tho I would have thought
