Got a DFI NF4 SLiD board - onboard sound

Does tanyone know if the onboard sonund chip allows 5.1 sound in games? or do i need to go for a Creative card?

As long as you have a 5.1 speaker system you'll get 5.1 sound if select in in-game options

If you want the fancy EAX and up-mixing of 2.1 audio, etc and better clarity from your audio then you should go for a PCI soundcard such as the XFI music or similar.
