Hey all

I was laid off by my part time retail job of a year two weekends ago

But had an interview yesterday for a data cabling company and start on Monday, installing cabling in London museums!

So excited, my first proper fulltime job due to me being at college last year and a bit (Dropped out, not for me

)

But yeah, should be good, apart from the getting up at 5am to leave for London at 5:45!

Just thought id say something as im quite happy

My grandad used to work a telephones systems company in the same retail park and asked the owner of that who knows the owner of bla de bla....

I got up at 5 today so i can try and get used to it before monday xD

Nice one mate. Money any good? I'd love to leave my office job behind and do something more handy/hands on. Problem is I'm too used to the good money I earn doing it :/

Indeed....the last two job I've had over the past year and abit have been via 'who you know'.

First was my mates dads company he works for and is the director...latest one was applying for a job in wickes were my mate is a line manager type bloke and his boss saw it who's brother was recruiting in an IT job!

Good going on the job though OP

Kinda wish I could get back into Cabling, used to install server cabinets into client sites and that was quite fun
