You say that you deleted the Mozilla folder but did you actually remove the old Firefox profile directory as well (which may not be under c:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\ ... ).
I'd be tempted to run firefox -p and use the profile dialog to create a brand new profile and see if that improves things ...
