Or in English - The eye Doc injected something in my right eye in the hope it will make it better.

Sailing along quite happily then out of the blue I couldn't read a book - closed right eye -left eye OK -closed left eye and a black cloud in right eye- in other words if I was standing in front of you and closed my left eye then I can see everything around me except your face as it has a dark swirling cloud covering it.
I have Wet Macular Degeneration. It seems to affect old codgers.

If anyone is worried by it I can say I prefer this to going to dentist. :D:D

PS I will have to have one injection a month for three months then reduced to one every two months - or more or less depending how or if it works.:o

All I can think of right now:

...The thought of a needle in my eye makes me feel nauseous tbh.

Good luck btw, hope the injections sort things out.

I also have injections every 6 weeks. I've had 3 rounds of laser surgery and I prefer the smell of burning and the tiny stabbing pain to the feeling as the needle breaks the surface and you can feel it being withdrawn again as your eye drags on the needle. Its the most uncomfortable feeling ever.

A friend has some eye condition that involves an injection into the eyeball every six months.
He lives in Kingsgate, Margate, Kent, and drives up, then parks on our drive in Rotherhithe, and for exercise, walks the one hour plus to Moorfields Eye Hospital in City Road, Islington.
When he comes out of the hospital, he walks across the street, looks up City Road toward the Angel, and hails the first Black Cab that comes down the road.
He comes in for coffee and a ham sandwich, as he’s a tad reticent to drive until his eye stops softly watering.
