... my old Enermax Noisetaker 600W PSU that I was hoping to use only as x1 6 PIN PCI-E power connector, where as the gfx card requires two. Now I understand I can use an adapter to convert a molex connector to a PCI-E adapter but does any one think I would have any issues with power with the following setup or do I need a new PSU?
OcUK Value GeForce GTX 470 1280MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
AMD Phenom II X6 Six Core 1055T 2.80GHz
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit
Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H AMD 880G
Patriot Viper 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C7 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit
x4 SATA Drives (x2 320GB, x2 200GB)
x1 SATA DVD-RW
a few fans
the PSU says on it that it is
Enermax Noisetaker EG701AX-VE SFMA 2.0
Really can't afford a new PSU having just bought the CPU, MB, GFX card and RAM... so I'm hoping someone will say it will be fine otherwise the wife'll castrate me
