hey all,
went for an interview yesterday, and i've just found out today that i've got a new job with a web design company (goscar rock - local company) as a Web Designer and an SEO Consultant. starting salary is £10,500 per year and goes up after the first three months.
money probably doesn't sound much to some of you guys, but this is my first real job (just leaving part time work at a restaurante) and its v. good money for this area.

they're sending me details through the post which i should have monday, got to sign a contract and thats that :D

should start in about two - three weeks (they're moving offices from a basement to a two story building, so its a growing company). can't wait... will be great to have some spare cash :D

Nice one :) Sounds like a good opportunity.
Good luck with it all and let us know how you get on :)

Congratulations! :D

Go out and get yourself a few of these to celebreate...

haha, went out and had some of those last night ;)
i'm sure i've got a few bottles and cans of something in the fridge though... must be able to get through those tonight :p
don't think i can afford it again... its annoying now, i've got to hand my notice in... and get used to the monthly payslip rather than the weekly...
hope its not too hard to adjust, and i don't go blowing all my money at once :o

Thats the worst thing about going from being paid weekly to monthly. When you get paid at the end of the mnth you think you're loaded until all the bills go out and you're skint with about 3 weeks until the next paycheck :p You'll get used to it though, it's actually much better in the long run.

yeah i know :(
first pay check will pay off any bills that i may be late on because of the short period of time between the two jobs (i'd like a week off tbh :p), and any cash spare i think i'll put towards some extra bits and bobs for a rig update... true OcUK style :p :D

I remember my first 'real job'; working tech support for HP...£10k a year.

...It all seems so long ago now...

...

:D
