Got a problem

I have a p5n-e SLI mobo and as soon as i put 4 sticks of 1gb ram in there it fails to boot, it will someitimes post but wont go any further, as soon as take 1 out.. any 1 out its fine, is there a fix or is a new mobo required???

up the ram and/or northbridge voltage by an increment and see what that does

Make sure you have the latest BIOS, 1101 is the version number. Mine boots fine with no adjustments to voltage with 4 sticks of ram, although it may help.

As jak says the addition the extra ram is putting more load on the memory controller so you'll probably need a few more volts there.

ive got the latest bios 1201, ermm everythings on auto what should i set it on??

according to the bios, its now at 2.178 for the ram ,is this safe?? its stable, just wanna know if its safe for the ram, ram is being cooled by corsair dominator cooler aswell

2.3v is about the limit for air-cooled RAM.
