As the heart of your build dont skimp too much on the mobo, for £89 you could go for Asus M4A79XTD Evo with the 790x chipset.

Its OK, better than your original board, I personally dont like the onboard graphics solutions, even if disabling it to use your discrete graphics card. The 790x comes with the sb750 southbridge and higher native memory support.

The Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3 is the better motherboard IMHO and there is also the Gigabyte GA-770TA-UD3 for a few quid more which has SATA3 and USB3 too.

OTH, since you are not overclocking the Asrock should do the job.

without overlocking the MB will the pc perform better with the Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3 or just the same than the asrock?

I would only repeat that if you are spending £600 on your system dont cut back on the motherboard spec. I would tend to look at the mobo as the first item on the list, followed by the PSU and the case.

In theory both motherboards should perform the same as they use the same chipset and soutbridge.

The Gigabyte does use all solid capacitors and has an 8+2 phase VRM though.

ok ive ordered the Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3 AMD 770 Socket AM3 8 Channel Audio ATX Motherboard so lets hope i get some better luck this time:)

I just realised there are two versions of the motherboard with a similar name:

http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products/Motherboard/Products_Overview.aspx?ProductID=3297

http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products/Motherboard/Products_Overview.aspx?ProductID=3257

Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3P seems to be the version with the 8+2 phase VRM. It seems that the Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3 is a newer version which has been quietly snuck in at the same price point!!

The Gigabyte is still a better motherboard than the Asrock or MSI though.

Sorry!! :(
