i dont like my Q6600 loading at 52c o.O with the TRUE in this stupid english weather so dug a few bits from the garage

Got out my old 40gallon fishtank, 1000gph pond pump and spare radiator from 406 coupe v6 :)

going to slap it all together now along with a dtek fuzion2 and see if it works
:p

been done before many times but im sure itll be a laugh :D

Really looking to see how this works out, 1000 gph thats a hell of a lot of water..:)

on hold at the minute, got the cpu block off a guy i know and somehow the threads for the barbs are non-existant on one of the holes. :/

So... i need another block, OCUK is outof stock of the fuzion2 so any suggestions for a high flowing good socket775 block?

Finally got round to finishing it off, however i went for a smaller 6gallon res using a plastic box i had

uses all 1/2" fittings and tubing
1900l/h pond pump which i put a restrictor on the inlet of set just above max flow rate of the block.

EK supreme LT and nice noctua fan (off my TRUE) to cool ram

Res with pump complete with silver chain which does keep everything clear :)

oh and yes yes yes, my cable management sucks i know
im a function over looks person, i got the office fan for it which does a great job when turned on

I left it priming for 24hrs with the fan running and the water temp sat at 25c, cpu 45c
without the fan running priming for 24hrs water gets to 35c core 50c
I've not yet managed to get it over 50c

after 1hr priming

***ona side note theres an awful lot of air from the fan being lost sideways, i may make some kind of shroud to force it through the rad instead

gotta admit that looks like it was great fun. Is the rad leaning against the wall? If so your going to re-circulate some of that warm air back with the fan.

crude it may be, but it works :)

and yeh i thought about putting the fan at the other side blowing outwards, havent got round to trying it yet :)

oh and it cost me 50quid for the block/pipe/barbs, pump i had lying about roughly 20quid, tenner for the fan, and an old car rad for a tenner

show me another watercooling system that can beat its performance for that price? hehe

Is it really wise to have that much water, a radiator and fan sat precariously over your monitor like that :eek::eek:
