I tend to go to J15 and then A500 and almost straight onto the A50, but its worth knowing the van location for the future as it is tempting to break the limit on that stretch before you reach the 50 section in town.

On the A500 between the A34 and A527 (Southbound) exits....

Well if you were doing 58mph going off your speedo then your actual speed wound have been around 55mph max, I've never been in a car where the speedo doesn't over-read by 3-4mph. At 10% over the limit you should have a fairly good chance of not hearing anything from it. I've been in the same position a few times in my works van driving past camera vans and I've never had a ticket from one.

yes, even the vans.

If they ticketed people at lower speeds, they'd clog up the courts with people questioning the accuracy of the device.

Nothing as yet, then again, I may have been caught in my car doing 58 in a 50 entering a stretch of roadworks on the A500 - today!
