Got me a Lian Li!

I have no idea but i feel the need to say...

... Nice system! Wish i could afford a nice widescreen dell, am being constantly tempted to go dual from my single Sammy SN913. Had dual 17" CRTs for a bit and even that was amazing.

Clown, is ya case noisy? I've now put the case on the floor/carpet as on my desk it was resonating so much and could hear it downstairs!
I'd prefer it on the desk but its much more peaceful now.
I've ordered some Acousti gel fan mounts and will get round to mounting the hard drive with something, maybe the Nexus Twin disk mounts?

Nope. I'm using the original fans I think, at low RPM. Case temp is 25 degrees. CPU is on the reserator. So that's pretty much silent.

Just as I thought I got this case silenced.... I burn a dvd and it sounds like theres a couple of woodpeckers inside getting a taste for aluminium!
It's the sides vibrating like crazy :(

Its the DVD drive, hummm.

Depending on how often you open up the case this could be nice and easy to do.

This is what I would try to solve the DVD problem initially.

1) Find where you need to press the panels in to stop the vibration, or where it does it the best.
2) Take panel off.
3) Put a very small bit of a elastic band where you needed to press, and put the panel back on.
4) This SHOULD stop your problem.

- Getting the elastic band to attach may be a smiding of some glue, not enough to stick but just to hold it there, at your own risk -

Thanks for the info. Sounds weird using a small piece of elastic band, but if it works!

Does it have to be a fairly wide thick piece?

nope a tiny small one will do, all it does it pushes the pannel outwards to stop it vibrating.

Its how I do it if ever I get it, works best if the cause is the CD drive too.
