Oh boy oh boy oh boy - so excited :D ! I know I've posted earlier about being offered a GTX Titan, but now it's finally waiting for me at the P.O to pick up tomorrow morning. I can't wait ! first time I try a Titan card and to the price is paid... it's just more than a steal. I never imagined I would own this card.
It's a beautiful Asus GTX Titan 6GB http://www.asus.com/dk/Graphics_Cards/GTXTITAN6GD5/overview/ it's without box and other accessoires but has original invoice/warranty papers... and I got it for £290 from the seller  :D

I'm just thrilled an wanted to share the excitement with you guys.

I'll now just have to consider which PC rig will get the benefit of trying the Titan. I can do a full GTX 780 vs 780Ti vs Titan comparison now :p

I'll be posting some pictures and possible quick benchmarks once I figured out if I should take 3x 780 out or 2x 780Ti's to run with the Titan.

My goal is to get 2 more Titans for gaming through 2015.

What would some definetely safe clock speeds be that I can crank the GPU op to with it getting too hot ?

You have a rig with two 780ti's you're thinking of swapping out for a titan? Surely they'll smoke it?

Yes I'm looking to either swap my 2x 780Ti's or 3x 780's out with GTX Titans - that is my plan. Right now I only have one Titan and looking for 2 more to a good price. I hope when GTX 980 are rolling out people will start selling Titans.

Actually strangely enough the original Titan was unlocked voltage wise or something compared to the Titan Black ? There is a huge thread about it on the other forums including skyn3t custom bioses etc etc.

Oh I see.

I'd swap the ti's out then. You'll get slightly more for them and the tri 780's must fly along!

Yeah you can run the 780 and original Titan at higher voltages than the Titan Black and 780ti I believe.

What's the safe overclock bet on a reference GTX Titan ?. Can I without hesitation set it to 876MHz core which is it's normal boost clock speed.

1050 core easily as a safe bet as I've never seen one do less. When I had 2 of them they both did 1100 without issue at only slightly above stock volts.

Ok I'll be going for 950 for starters :p

Such a nice card... to £290 I don't complain about a little dust.

Proof ! I got it :D

You sure its not a weaker card with a titan cooler on it?

If its a titan then cool but somit sounds dodgy if it sold that much less than one would normally sell for unless he was desperate for a quick sale.

I was looking at ebay for ages before I bought my card. For the high end cards I was looking at I would say 60 - 80% of the sellers were fraudulent as they would never ship the card. Sometimes it was more obvious as like a seller who sold sweets before now started selling Titan Z for like £800 and put things like Im on holiday for 2 weeks and will ship your card then. Needless to say when you look at their feedback weeks later the buyer would put conned - never got card etc.

Now there are some sellers who need cash quick and sell stuff on the cheap. Trust me as I'm one of those sellers and also buy stuff there.

A similar thing happens with Used Console PS4 games as well. Sometimes people will sell brand new games are ridiculously cheap prices! These are normally legit as its people just wanting quick cash and its more then they get with cex for example.

Titan is a nice card, I had 2, they used to boost to 1019mhz by default... overclocking without changing the voltage they would do around 1150...
I think all of them do at least 1100 without a problem.

You paid a really good price for them, I sold my pair for £820.00, 3 weeks ago.
