Installation of the 7950 itself was fine. I removed my previous HD 4850 driver in device manager previously.

However, when I set the resolution on the desktop or CCC to 1080p/1920x1080 it doesn't fit the whole screen. There are black borders ranging from 2cm to an inch around the display.

I tried restarting twice and turning my monitor off and non and messing around with the settings in there but to no avail.

What do I do?

Go into the CCC and My Digital Flat Panel settings. Check the scaling options under each section where applicaple and see if that sorts it.

Edit, ninja'd to it!

Thanks for tips but still nothing.

All the scaling did was resize the image a bit bigger but there is still some border. The image quality has been distorted, too..

EDIT: nevermind, it SEEMS that worked. Thanks :)

I had the same issue with my 6850, but only during games like crysis etc.

What sorted it was pressing ALT+Enter until the resolution fixes itself (It cycles through different display resolutions). Might help!

EDIT: Even though its sorted, you may still have this issue just in games even though the resolution is correct on desktop (I did) The above tip works.

FYI, you have a 120Hz monitor in your sig. so you need to use the dual link DVI cable supplied with the monitor to get 120Hz.

Yep. I got the samsung today. I put it in my sig last night lol :p

I am currently running it on my other 60Hz samsung monitor. Will test it once I have got my new desk to fit both monitors on today from Ikea :)

EDIT: Not sure if I got a Dual link cable. What do they look like? Is it just both sides with DVI or is there another connector with it?

That sucks.

BF3 seems fine for me though. Running at a cool 50FPS on completely max settings. Might go Crossfire next month.

Dual Link version has rectangular set of pins as one....standard DVI has 2 lots of squares aka a space between at the pins in the centre.
