Picked her up during the week:

Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R, 2006 reg, had just over 3K miles on it, but I have put over 300 more in the last few days :D

Really happy with the bike - had a slight mis-hap on the first day; long story but basically I dropped it on a U turn (loss of focal point for the lose); but have since fixed the damage (broken right rear-hanger).

It rides really well and I find the seating position is higher than the CBRs and GSXRs I sat on, which just feels better to me.

5K well spent I think.

very nice. :)

seems to be something about ZX6s and being dropped... every person i know with one has had a slight mishap with them. :p

To be honest, I was 'glad' that it was a slow speed drop, the crash bobbin did the job, just annoyed I broke the hanger; had no rear brake for a while, should have stopped me riding but, err, it didn't

All fixed now though, so I'm happy.

Never really noticed how big the number plate was, lol, massive :p

Got the same bike in the same colour. I bought mine new last year for 6k and you can get brand new 2007 model ones for 5600 so 5k seems a bit steep.

Just need to get a nice Akrapovic race system on it like mine to bring it alive :) I'd also reccomend a double bubble as the stock screen is very poor unless your a midget.

Not got any recent pics, but here she is on the day I brought her home :)

Not dropped her yet though so you have one up on me :)

Very nice, will probably be looking at those sorts of mods next year tbh, but we'll see...

Most dealers were about the 5K mark for this year and mileage, so it wasn't too bad, I also preferred this model to the newer one, not sure why

Do I get a prize :p

Yeah I prefer the older one also, maybe because I don't like the new headlights as much as my one. Plus mine has a bigger engine :) but those 36 cc mean higher tax :(

Exactly the bike I will be buying next year or the year after (either with 2 years no claims or 3 depending on how much it will be). But I want it in green :D . I agree about the 2006 model being better, I hate the 2007 and apparently it's not as good on the road (but 2 seconds quicker on the track! yay  ).

I don't like the 2007's lights either, probably why I didn't go for it, but the 636 seemed to have the better reviews, glad I got it though :)

Tax was £64 for a year, lost a month though, as I wanted to ride it on 31st, but I don't mind that.

Nice bike but guys seriously buy a tailtidy ASAP lol damn there almost as ugly as the 07 YZF's and Gixxers lol, why do they make them like that

I sat on one of these at a bike show. It was a very extreme riding position. You would have to be fully lying down on it to get any protection from the standard screen. I can see that the double bubble would be a great benefit.

Thanks mate. Tail tidy you say? Have to look into that...

Yep, pretty much, in fact, I think that is the reason why the front of the tank/air intake has a 'gully' in it; so you can put your chin in there :p

Yea might be called an undertray but thats abit more work, but ive seen a lot of tail tidys for the R1's and gixxers so im sure there are ones for the kwakers aswell, just gets rid of that horrible plastic crap sticking out and makes your plate look tidier

Ah yeah, I know what you mean now, saw those for sale but didn't know what they were for - doh!

Whats the law on number plates too, I think mine is huuuuge?

Cheers.

No undertrays, underseat exhaust and all.. well at least I don't think so.

Yes I do have a tail tidy, pic of mine was when I brought it home from dealer last year.

R&G do one for £39.99 rrp with integrated LED numberplate light

On the R&G site now, any idea what model is though - I have the choice of:

ZX6-R
ZX6-R 636A
ZX6-R F1
ZX6-R F2
ZX6-R F3
ZX6-R G1
ZX6-R G2
ZX6-R J1
ZX6-R J2

I don't recall seeing any of these terms in the owners manual

Thanks,
Scort.

Ah yea forgot it had the underseat :p would be a nice mess after one ride otherwise lol :p so yea will have to be a tailtidy.

And yes your numberplate looks huge, just like mine on the SV lol but i cba to get a new one, and yes you can get a smaller one without going really small illegal ones.
