I got my first car yesterday. :D It's a 1.6 1997 Ford Escort Estate. Anyone think its a big big for a first car (car size not engine)?

Anyway is it normal to get a few dents on a first car? I have a few small cracks in the front bumper when I was trying to get it in my driveway. Does a crack in the bumper really matter that much (its make of fibre glass)?

of cors its normal to get a few dents on any car... whether its down to your driving or some idiot at the local supermarket :p

a crack in your bumper will only matter 1. if you want it to matter and 2. resale value... if they are small cracks then i doubt its anything to worry about as the car itself isnt worth a fortune...

get some piccies up!!! its the rules here lol! :D

Good I was a bit worried that ot would all fall to bits or something. :D :o

I'll try to get some pics up. It does look quite good both inside and out (even with the small cracks) for a car thats done 122,000 miles.

lol at accident getting into drive, but as everyone said no probs with cracked bumper. Wouldent say it was two big and i find estates very easy to reverse, you can judge where you back end is very easily.

No real reason why a car thats done 122k should look anything worse than one the same age with half the mileage, really. People just use it as an excuse for having a tatty car.
