after a discussion about my 17" monitor,i ordered a dell 24" with an HIS HD4850.
using 1900 x 1200 res, this card is perfect,i might sell it on to get a 4870x2 but for now im very pleased with the performance,ATM its leaving my 8800GTX standing :)

There ya go MiNxYyY!

Stop talking about what your gonna upgrade too you sausage, get testing that card and check out Devil May Cry 4, totally ****** me up!

thinks: This forum is gonna have 736 different threads from HD4850 owners soon, it's mayhem!

you got a new 24" screen + a great card for a little more than some ppl paid for one 280 a couple of weeks ago :p

Tell me about it when I discovered how fast my 4850 was last week sold my 8800GTX ASAP to get some money for it whilst it was still worth something
(now they are worth under £100 and dropping rapidly all the time).

4850 offers IMO 20-25% more performance than an 8800GTX for silly money so its a no brainer. Once the word spreads these are going to be selling out everywhere as the price/performance ratio is insane compared to what Nvidia are offering to compete with old tech DX10 only and the 4800's are DX10.1 which Nvidia have suddenly gone from saying it was unimportant to being something they will support in their next cards due in 3 months making the current GTX260/280 obsolete as DX10.1 offers big performance gains as you effectively almost get AA for free at the same res!!

Assassins Creed runs very well now on the 4850 + 4870 due to its DX10.1 support.
