Just transferred everything over too my new case and what huge cases these babies are. You just got to see it too believe it, the size difference is eye boggling.

One thing about getting a new case you should always plan ahead before you shove everything in it. I've put the motherboard in but waiting on a new PSU. Though doing this i won't be able to fit the 4pin cable off the PSU onto the motherboard because of my Sythe Ninja is in the way....lol

I'm very impressed by this case.... :D

Nice one mate, can i ask why you swapped cases, did you just fancy a change or did the slightly under average air flow of the sonata get on your nurves?

I always wanted a Lian Li m8. I got the Antec in a rush because i needed a case. I got the Lian Li for a xmas pressent for myself... :D

The airflow on the Antec was ok actually, i will tell you the difference when i've got it all up and running.

I like this case very much. I'm undecided between this and then V2000 at present. I like the door on the V2100, and the sound proofing is a bonus, but those 2 things have me wondering about temps and if they could be significantly higher as a result. The cooling on this case seems to be good otherwise, so maybe it won't be an issue. Looks great anyway!!

Just wondering, is there a fan vent behind the door at the bottom, as there is on the V2000?

:)

Yes its the same fan setup. :)

Temperatures are no different between the two cases, the sound proofing is a load of rubbish, put something loud in the case and it will do no better than a v2000.

Go with which one you like the look of most, personally its the v1000/v2000 for me, just love the rounded front and rear edges. :)

Just wondering, are the sections at the top and the bottom of the door (the rectangular section with the grooved bit at the end at the top, and with the firewire etc. ports in it at the bottom) made of aluminium or are they plastic? I've seen some pics where they look a bit plasticy and a slightly different colour to the rest of the case.

How many HD's you using? 2? lol.

There are 6 drives in there up to now. I can fill it up but I need an Internal Sata card because all the Sata ports are full on the board. Number 1 drive is inside an Antec HD Cooler which is has my OS on.

just been testing my V1200 with just a PSU and some Nexus DS12SL's and I've noticed the mesh grill at the back produces more noise. Same effect as if you were to run a fan outside the case and then place your hand near the face of the fan that was sucking the air in.

Going to rip my mesh out and replace it with a normal grill I think.

Ya know what m8 i haven't even turned this thing on yet...lol

Just not had the time too plug it in ...Looks like i will have too wait till the new year to see if its ok.

wow i dint realise how big they are, too big for me i hardly fill a sonata ;)

i might get a smaller lian li in the future tho, they look the bees knees
