Returned my 11 month old Xbox Elite (expecting to have to put up a massive fight - citing the Sales of Goods act etc etc). But thankfully the retailer happily replaced it, hooray!

I think it's actually a Jasper (has 12.1v on the sticker). When did Jasper Elites start appearing? I remember waiting for one months ago, then eventually giving up, thinking that Jasper chipset would never filter down to the Elites!

my elite is 12.1 and i got it in janruary

its actually been acting up a bit recently though. first i was getting sound problems and today it crashed a couple of times which it has never done before

Result there then. It's 12.1A on the 12V been around for probably over a year now, but you were guaranteed to get one from the price cut in August/October 09.

Ahh looks like I just missed them when I bought my last one then.

Well..... I know Jaspers aren't a magical fix, but hopefully this one will last longer than 11 months :D

Hoping it'll be a lot quieter than my last as well!

Andy - the sound problems you get, does it just occasionally cut out for a split second?

I got my jasper last November.

I got my original Elite back in July 09 so I think i "just" missed them.

One annoying difference I have noticed - the new Elites don't come with HDMI cables any more :(

Wish I hadn't packed up my old one now lol

Im still on my original build date 11-Nov-2005 :D

Too be honest, its total usage probably adds up to 5 days continuous. Not found anything I really like on it. I hate FPS on any format, just not my kind of genre.

nah it glitches and everything sounds asthough it underwater. im not 100% sure whether its the xbox or the TV though although the tv has never done it while actually watching TV

il wait and see if it crashes anymore before i contact MS. still got a lot of warranty left

If there's no games on an Xbox 360 that you like then you just don't like games.
