I've got an ongoing problem with my computer, that I can't solve.
...I'll be using my computer, doesn't matter what I'm doing, and all of a sudden the 'search' dialouge pops up over and over again, the cpu load shoots to 100% on both cores, the cursor is always busy and if I'm looking at the desktop the icons highlight and un-highlight quickly over and over. After a short period of time the computer goes into standy and I can't get it out. After I reboot the computer beeps randomly over and over and hangs, sometimes it enter into windows, but same problem occurs almost straight away.
Sometimes the computer is fine, I can use it for days, and then other times I can't use it at all.
Now I think its something related to the keyboard, but I've tried 2 different ones..
My computer is at stock speeds and makes no difference when its overclocked. Temps are all fine.
I'm using Windows Vista ultimate, but It's not a problem with the O/S.
My hardware is as follows
E2180 @ 2.00 Ghz
2gb Corsair XMS 667Mhz @ SPD
Abit P5k
250gb Sata hdd
Sata DVD-RW
IBM/Hitachi 80gb IDE
Hiper 580 Type M
Radeon HD3850
Happauge Win TV 1100
Freezer 7
I think it's the motherboard that is faulty, but before I send it back, I thought I'd ask you guys for you help.
