Its quite poor really (imo) 1/3 of the screen is cut off, its playable but gets a bit boring as its not quite full screen.

If you do the swap, your m8 is gonna go away laughing .. He knows more about that special firmware then hes letting on

yh but i like my psp but i am stuck on a firmware 3.03 OE-C and want to upgrade to a new one but i will have to downgrade or will i any other way? or to just get to 1.5?

And i have gta LCS so ca i do it quicker with that?

WipEout Pulse, Crisis Core, Patapon, God of War - Now is not the time to swap your PSP for a DS, the PSP was dead for a while and the DS had the better games, but just now I think it's the other way around.

As always though, best bet is to try and own both - Both are fantastic consoles.

Yawn, another thread, more misinformation.
All PS1 games should be fullscreen, or near enough (Depends on whether the game supports widescreen or not), and most play very nicely.
SNES is near perfect, unless its one of the odd cartridges with special chips, these vary from iffy to broken.

I've personally just got rid of a DS Lite, never got on with it really & all it ever got used for was Pokemon. The screen is better on the PSP, IMHO the games are much better, and generally I much prefer it.

Cheers

depends how you decode them mate, the NTSC patch fixes some games but others still wont include full screen display.
