No doubt many of you have heard of Von Dutch, most likely from seeing it on a burberry checked cap on a chav or plastered across some tart's boobs on a cheap t-shirt. But how many of you know where Von Dutch actually comes from?
Back in the 60's there were a couple of crazy car customisers, one was Von Dutch, the other was Ed 'Big Daddy' Roth, both turning out some pretty crazy stuff. There's a new series coming up 'Who's Yer Big Daddy' which pretty much sums up what they were like and what their offspring are doing today. Hopefully it will kill off the chav culture that has assumed this 40 year old identity and we hotrodders can put our Von Dutch pinstriped t-shirts back on
