Ok during upgrading my computer i have run into a few problems.

firstly,i upgraded my PSU to a 400w the only problem being is that it had 1 4pin lead and 1 sata lead becuase both my cdrive and my Harddrive being quite old they are both 4 pin and i am wondering if this can be solved

Secondly when i press the power button the lights and the fans work but holding down the power button does not turn it off i must turn it off with the switch at teh back.

my LCD monitor says no signal when not plugged into the pc. when plugged in the screen stays black with the power light going from blue to orange any reason why this would be. i have tried it in both the graphics card and the integrated.

having a lot of trouble here

yeah i figured the motherboard section was the wrong area. im using a phenom 2 and 2 gig od ddr2 and and nvidia 8600t not for serious gaming like arma and crysis but still prety mid range is what im after

Sounds like the PSU can't provide enough j
power for your system.

I don't think the swifts are that weak though so maybe it's just faulty. RMA?

Thanks guys im going to take it in to the tech support guys and see what they recommend, not that i dont trust your judgement just my mum isnt really infavour of me doing this and probably wont let me spend another £40 for it might to work becuase some people on the internet says so xD can anyone help on the not switching off problem

The not switching off problem might also be caused by the PSU, since there might not be enough power going to the motherboard.
