Guys

After some great advice on here I purchased my rig and really happy with it, really fast but some games for example Arma II on max slow it down - when I say slow it down I mean its constantly loading off the HDD, I'll have some more spare cash in Jan and want to make it even faster and a kind of entertainment centre also aswell as a demon games machine, so what else would you recommend I can do to get Arma II to run full whack nice and fast?

I will be buying a bluray player end of the month and getting 1Gbps LAN sorted in my house, games wise what about another 5870 and a SS HDD plus 8GB fast ram?

tbh, anything added to your comp is just overkill just now.

Might be worth a faster hard drive or a few in raid though.

Ok so would be worth grabbing a couple of raptors in RAID 0 or SS???

I'm used to servers running 15k rpm SAS seagates, so 10k rpm SATA doesnt really sound that great tbh.

SS is the way to go???

Definitely go for Solid State Drives and more ram, your computer would boot up very quickly and you would load games much more quicker.

Have a look at Kingston 40GB SSD for cheap or Intel's X-25-E if you're pushing the boat out

about 500-1k anything in that range.

Tbh SS were top of my list, along with more memory, 4GB on 64bit seems like 1GB on 32bit to me.....
