Got the console finally

193 seems abit much for an old console, I would have bought something off the 'bay (well I lie, would have bought a 360 :p)

Black, relatively nice graphics for a last gen console although I don't think the gameplay is anything new.

SOCOM, can't stand them myself so I won't comment :p

The others I have never played.

And Devil may cry 1/3, shadow of the collosus, naruto games are good too, MGS, SSX tricky, res evil 4... oh well theres some suggestions for you ElRazur
 
My recent PS2 purchase....

I've also recently (2 months ago) bought a slimline PS2. I don't want a 360 and I won't be buying a PS3 at release time (I'll be waiting for at least one price drop), so the PS2 seemed like a cheap way to get a console. The idea of all of my games being supported by the PS3 and therefore not redundant also appealed.

Aside from the slimline console, an extra pad and a memory card, I bought the following:

Grand Theft Auto 3 (never really fancied Vice City)
Lego Star Wars (this is very good, if a bit easy in places)
Gran Turismo 4 (absolutely excellent IMHO)
Resident Evil 4 (currently my favourite game on the PS2, a must have IMHO)
Black (I also really enjoy this for "pick up and play value")
Taito Legends (games I remember playing in my youth!)
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (for my fiancee, not me ;))

Most of those games have been bought second hand. If you like the Resident Evil / horror genre, then RE4 is a must have.

All good, but not in the class of the 2 I mentioned, which, imo are the 2 MUST have titles.
 
you paid to much even with the discounts, i would personally if like you say you will be buying the ps3 gone for 2nd hand on everything you have brought. PS2 is just not worth the cash layout anymore not for new, plenty of 2nd hand bargins around now.

but anyway enjoy your purchase, although i found Black to be very overrated, maybe they will get it right on the typical EA sequal
