Well, went down to view a GTO today and after a small event with a pipe not being secured as it should be, I bought her!!!

Knew that there was an issue or two - the electric aeriel has been bent slightly so needs a bit of a hand to go down sometimes and the speedo plug isn't brilliant and keeps dislodging oh and the rear spoiler switches need sorting too. Nothing serious and nothing that won't be resolved shortly.

Also got a full new set of shocks & springs for free and a palm with a diagnostic data cable thrown in. There's a rear strut brace to fit and a chrome inlet to sort as well.

Love the car - utter hoot to drive and monumentally rapid. Only mods are turbo timer, air filter and BOV. Alloys don't look standard but I like them :)

Anyway, here she is:

Love her lots, can't wait to get her out again :D

Cheers lads:D - mattpc will be babysitting her for me when I'm in Cuba for a couple of weeks.

Yeah, 4WD & 4WS and the insurance group? 20 methinks as it's a rather powerful import. Skyinsurance are charging around £900fc for me, 25 y/o, 4 years ncb, 10k miles, parked on driveway overnight, with filter, Turbo Timer and BOV declared mods.

Just took the missus to work - she seemed rather terrified for some reason :D

Hey m8

Sweet car, also regarding your insurance I think your possibly paying a little over the odds. I was paying around £600fc for mine which was a 1998 with higher value, but mine was a UK car and hence why it was maybe cheaper to insure. Anyway give Admiral/Elephant a try and say you have access to another car, put your mum/girlfriend on the policy and remember the mileage they ask for is estimated. ;)

Thanks mate :D

Have checked out insurance and it's the whole import status that's crippling tbh. I could insure a UK model for £750 with Admiral but the whole import thing has everyone wanting 4 figures. £900 isn't that bad for around here parked on a drive tbh.

Having sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much fun driving it :D Need the little diagnostic cable to plug into the palm I got with it now to play fun with diagnostic software (whilst remembering it disables the ABS...) Oh, and what's the point of that 'silencing' switch???
