I have a 8800GTX OC 768mb just wanted to know if a 260 would be much better or sholud I hold off for a bit, am playing codwaw @ 1680x1050 with out to many problem but I do like to play with max setting which I can't as it shands not far off tho, its just been along time since I upgraded my G/Card:)

Whats the rest of your rig?, might be worth getting more ram or something instead.

Personally I wouldn't, I still have a 8800GTX running at that resolution and its fine for me!!!

My spec is in my sig if your wondering.

At 1680x probably not worth the upgrade... tho the 260 is a nice boost from the 8800...

The GTX is holding its own very well in recent titles like farcry 2 with the newer drivers as well...

Vista 64bit 8gig ocz 533 ram, 2 x 30gb ocz ssd raid 0, 2 x 32gb Raptor raid 0 Phenom X4 Quad Core 9850 @ 2.8 due to ****e mobo (M3A needed 3 pci slots) water cooling CPU and G/Card.

WOW,

Ok that I'd say would be getting the max out your GTX so have you dabbled in overclocking GPU and CPU?, although Ive no idea about the CPU you have, you would have to post in thr OC section on this forum.

The 8800 GTX well mine anyway sits nice at 625/1450/1000 but thats just an OEM one so your could perhaps do more.

The GPU dose not overclock very well. I get artefact as soon as I overclock it, must be due to it being a GTX "OC" no head room left for the end user.
