I've started work at a music / recording PC building shop and we order custom laptops to be made up and configured for audio production.
Most of it seems fairly straightforward, but i have a couple of questions.
There was no CPU paste/TIM included. I presume this is needed just like a desktop, or are these designed not to use them? It's an i5 or i7 laptop processor, pretty quick ones. I'm assuming yes, but just wanted to confirm seeing as though i couldn't see any pre-installed on the heatsink.
The wireless. I've already installed the card into the slot, but do i just need to attach the two ends/cables to each slot on the chip?
Any help asap would be appreciated. Got to start building it up 8.30am and needs to be out the door shortly after! New job, very stressful!.
