Been having a few days at this now, ive got the F50 GT which everyone online seems so fond of and ive got about 14 trophies. Of course I'm playing it through on easy first.

When I race online even in playtime I get whupped. How much do you use E brake? I rarely use it finding i'm more stable without it. I also seem to do for or 5 corners fine then end up doing the fish tail through a few which leads to me always spearing the armco on the inside of the bend as I exit. Or I lift right off to try to straighten it up again.

Any tips?

I dont race A class online - tend to stick to B and E, but in general it comes down to knowing every corner on the track (pick a class, note down the tracks then practice them on race against the clock mode) and personally I find taking a proper racing line, braking before hand then accelerating out of corners is the quickest way around a track. I never use the handbreak apart from the 2nd hairpin on boulevard straights, and dont really get the car sideways much at all (hence why I prefer the CCS8 ove rthe enzo)

F50 GT is a very powerful car, to much throttle and it'll fishtail 90% of the time. Try the Maclaren F1 car, Fast enough and very easy to handle.

The fastest way around the track is without any slides, Brake before the corner and accelerate out.

I've been getting it spot on recently with my show boating, sliding it all the way around the corner and just slimming the edge. Feels great when it works :)

So should I just brake in a straight line or can you turn in under braking and still be fast. I get punted a lot too. Taking my line someone uses me as a brake, shame it doesnt have realistic damage that would cut that out ;)

Cheers one of my best mates took delivery of his x360 today and is setting up right now, another ocuk user. He's workshy so gets loads of time to practice. Its a pride thing I cant let him beast me at a driving game ;)

Thanks for the tips anymore gratefully recieved :)

Of course anyone feel free to add me for lessons ;)

try to break in a straight line. If you turn whilst braking it puts all of the weight on the front wheels, reducing traction/grip.

I dont go online, i get fed up of people wiping you out before you get to the first corner.
Like the Nordshleife (sp), you power up the straight, flat out into the first bends, and there is ALWAYS some cretin, who instead of just feathering the brakes backs off totaly and then goes flat out again resulting in a lary tail out slide that wipes out half the field.
So you are left, 7 or 8 seconds behind the new race leader, and that is VERY hard to make up on a half decent driver.

yeah, that reminds me, learn which corners you dont actually have to braek for. eg on the Shinjuku Kabukicho Loop you only need to break on 2 out of the four turns - the other 2 can be negotiaited with the accelerator held right down if you get the line right, but so many people brake on the last corner, which either means I fly past them or hit them right up the backside!

Maybe thats why i'm then spearing the armco on the inside. All my weight goes to the front wheels which are turning the bend.

But yeah i think I need to learn the tracks much better. Which is why I need an f1 game, I can draw all of those tracks in my mind without help :D
