After trying for ages yesterday and today I finally got into a multiplayer game of Gears of War. Whenever I tried to enter a quick game it always told me that my connection was lost.

Just now I had just started the level and I get a message telling me that my connection was having problems or too slow or something and that I could either wait or press B to quit, I waited and eventually the game booted me.

I'm on a 4mb connection, and according to adslguide my speed is 3.7mb.

I have my 360 going through a router, could it be that? Is there a test I can do on my 360 to find out whats wrong?

This is the first time I've encoutered this.

Any help appreciated.

If your using a wired connection then i wouldnt think there is anything wrong there if your speed is being picked up properly.. does the same happen in other games.. do you notice lag? It could just be the people your joining?

The only other game I've played over live was Halo2 some months ago.

Downloads seems to be quite a bit slower these days tho', I wonder if its connected?

Gonna try PDZ, its a similar type of game.
(EDIT: Another bloody update for PDZ, seems like everytime I put it on theres another update)

Try searching for custom games and going that route.. ive never liked the quickmatch function.
