GoW - How the hell do you kill RAAM?

I am so fed up with this game, I just want to finish it so I can leave it collecting dust, I won't go into my reasons but it is really ******* me off now.

So, how the hell do you kill RAAM?
I have read a few strategies online but cannot do any of them. The only weapons I have are the Lancer, Nades and Sniper Rifle. Im only playing on Casual but im finding it impossible.

Also, why the hell does it FORCE me to watch that damn cut scene before every attempt.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Tip: Press X will skip the cutscene. After about 30 times of trying to kill Raam myself on casual, this was a boon.

I think my technique was purely luck - shooting at the Krill shield with the torque bow makes them scatter. Then I just chucked a load of grenades and fired at him with my lancer. The sniper rifle was a bit crap. Stay in the lights and make your way to the other end of the train to renew on ammo/grenades. Rinse and repeat.

Just try and get the grenades near him to scare of the krill things which act as a shielf, then aim for his face and shoot

it really is just a matter of shooting him constantly in the face when the krill clear, then when he gets close, head up towards the mounted gun platform. From here i simply kept running around this platform to each side and shooting him when i could. Mastering the quick reload thing will help. After about 30 attempts I finally did it with a point blank sniper shot to his face, and boy was i chuffed

I just sat behind the barricade nearest the start and shot/grenanded him. When he came up to the barrier just alternated between the left and right sides of it and he just stood the other side of it.

Torque bow and sniper rifle together work the best. Host a Co-op game on Act 5 the last part. It will then place you in the last part of the train before RAAM.

There should be a torque bow in on of the corners which respawns every few minutes and also the sniper rifle just opposite it. Keep collecting all the ammo until your totally full then go face him. Hit him with the torque bow to remove the kryll (which act as a shield that makes him invincible) then hit him in the face with the sniper as many times as possible before his shield comes back, rinse and repeat until he is dead, also try to get active reloads all the time that will make him die quicker. You should also blind throw grenades from behind cover when he comes close to kill him even quicker.

I killed him on my second go on casual hehe.

I would hide behide the first cover you get when you start the fight and this has some sort of lights to keep the krill away and when he got close just jump the wall hide the other end of the train, when he walks into the light the krill also fly away.

I found his AI to be abit stupid as i was literaly 1 side of cover and shooting him for atleast 30 seconds to 1 min as he was just walking back and forth.

It doesn't let me host coop, it says it can't because of firewall settings

It also helps if you shoot the sides of the train so that the helicopter with cole and baird in can help abit , i must have had 25 goes before i did it

I gave up and did it coop on insane, did the rest on my own but having a real 2nd player for RAAM did the trick. Got him 3rd try on insane with a coop pal.

Yeah Dom is a retard, he just kept running at him and getting killed. He was dead when I finally killed RAAM.

There's big chunks of the game where i just left him downed at the start of each chapter. He's a useless heap of dog do.

I thought it was less, but I'll take your word for it I've killed him on 7 seperate occasions:

on my own 3x (casual, hardcore, insane)
with dannyjo 2x (hardcore and insane)
with Krono 1x (hardcore)
with KainzUK 1x (hardcore)

so I could be confusing it with one of those

I can safely say though I will NEVER do it again on insane (aleast I hope so for my sanity

)
