GOW2 or L4D?

W@W is worth it just for Nazi Zombies tbf. I personally didnt find it anywhere near as good as 4 but still deffo worth getting, especially for online! Wouldnt say it was repetitive at all as its v.similar to COD4 in that respect.
 
Gears II without a doubt, i played through it on normal and hardcore now (single and split-screen) and haven't encountered a single bug :confused: also played it a lot in horde mode with matt, again no bugs :rolleyes: have also played Left 4 Dead and can say IMO its one of the most over-rated games i have ever tried, its gameplay is so bland it makes me wish i was being eaten by one of the on-screen zombies
 
L4D, really fun game with tonnes of replay value with your friends. Also downloadable content coming shortly. If you need any help / advice with the game let me know. I'm Lead Editor at Halflife2.net, and we are hosted by Valve Software themselves.

While you're free to have your own opinion the majority of players who have played both, for a decent period of time, generally agree that 4 is a lot better.
 
I'm thinking about giving GOW2 a try tbh, nothing else strikes my attention. Do many people play this online then?
 
L4D is fun, probably the least frustrating/annoying FPS Ive ever played. Co-op is good, versus is great, SP is a little limited. Most of the people on my friends list have gone back to the original Gears as the MP in Gears 2 is pants. The matchmaking is tripe, there are way too many weapons and the maps are just so boring.

The guy above saying that L4D is bland and overrated is utterly wrong...

much fun has been had with the following.

Crackdown if you have someone to play co-op with.
Ace Combat 6 co-op.

Battlefield Bad Company.
Rainbow Six Vegas 2.
GRAW 2

if you play Saints Row 2, play it co-op to make the activities easier.
 
Despite not being perfect i've always had a lot of fun with GOW2 online, seems like it's mostly yanks that play it a lot of the time, often there is a good sense of teamwork + decent communication, which I find usually lacking in cod5.

COD5 is a good game sp+mp, Dead Space I thought was fairly good for sp fps too.
Fight Night is amazing with mates or online, crap sp though.
WSOP2008 is surprisingly good too if you like cards. Civilization is an awesome stategy game. Rock Band 1/2 , Forza 2, Grid & the Burnout games. All great.
